Atomic Era Lamp
Atomic era lamp
This amazing lamp is designed for any galaxy – fiberglass shade, milk glass lamp with faux candlestick light bulb holders with a very heavy brass base. This looks amazing when lit up – comes with original wiring. In very good condition. Brass could be polished or left in its current state. This likely dates from about the 1950s. The Atomic Age in design refers to the period between the 1940s and early 1960s – a time of fear, concern and curiosity around the atomic bomb, space exploration and nuclear science, particularly in the Western world. Design elements from this period often feature starburst patterns, saucer like shapes, jets or rockets and bright tones including orange and turquoise. This lamp could stand on its own anywhere though.
