This fantastical painting on barn board is by Canadian folk artist George Cocayne.

Cocayne (also spelled Cockayne) came here as a Barnardo boy from England, eventually settling in Ontario on a small farm. This large piece uses found items, is signed G.C. and measures 36”x17.” It appears to be painted on barn board. His work is found in the collections of the Canadian Museum of Civilization, and in many corporate and private art collections. Would look wonderful in a Muskoka cottage or farmhouse. $350
