H. Bequet Art Deco Vase
This eye-catching Art Deco vase was made in Belgium by H.Bequet Quarregnon company. Hubert Bequet opened his own factory in 1934 in Quaregnon, Belgium. The factory’s heyday was in the 60s, eventually closing in 1982. Bequet was known for high-quality colourful ceramics, many with gold rims and elaborate decorations, like this beauty here. Bequet was also a pioneer in mass production of ceramics. The shape of this particular vase is a little out of the ordinary for Bequet – many of his pieces are pitchers or double handled bowls. Approximately 9” inches tall, excellent condition.
